Western 3 x 5

Made to swap at Artful Gathering 2008 which was (this year) a western themed retreat. Each participant made 3" x 5" pieces to swap with each other. We created small books held together with a binder ring for each of us. This was my offering to each of the books.

I finished this ATC today for a swap with

online art friends. Measures 2.5 x 3.5.

Art day projects

Two projects I worked on at the 6-14 art day in Salado. The background technique on the cowgirl tag is one that Linda F. shared with us. Tag is 2-3/8" x 4-3/4".
And the medallion on the altered container is an image transfer using embossing enamel.
Container (wood) measures 4" x 1-1/4" and is stitched with artificial sinew.

These were created for a swap. All measure approximately 4 to 5" wide and 6 to 7" tall.

Another handmade book

I made this book in a class. The book board is covered with book binders fabric. Then each of the signatures were cut and stitched to the spine with waxed linen thread. Then the spine was embellished with yards and yards of fibers. It measures 11.25" tall x 5" deep and the spine is 3.75" wide.
